# Fee Types

## Creation Fee (Primary Platform Revenue)

Charged to the **merchant**, drawn from their dedicated fee wallet on the Solana blockchain.

fee = max(cheque_amount × creation_fee_pct / 100 + creation_fee_flat, creation_fee_min)
```

* Default: `2.0% + 0.25 USDC flat, 0.25 USDC minimum`
* Fee is charged **separately** from the cheque amount — recipient always gets the full cheque value
* Collected automatically via SPL token delegate when the cheque is funded
* This is the **platform's** revenue, separate from the issuer-merchant distribution economics\\

## Claim Fee (Optional)

Charged to the **end-user recipient**, deducted on-chain from the transfer amount.

* Default: `0%` (disabled)
* Enabled per-merchant via fee tier configuration\\

## Changelly Markup (Exchange Spread)

Applied to Changelly crypto-to-USDC conversions.

```

* Default: `0%` — embedded in exchange rate, not shown as a separate fee

## Bridge Developer Fee (Fiat Onramp)

Applied to [Bridge.xyz](http://Bridge.xyz) USD→USDC transfers.

bridge_fee = transfer_amount_usd × bridge_developer_fee_pct / 100
```

* Default: `0%`
* [Bridge.xyz](http://Bridge.xyz) collects natively via the `developer_fee` parameter and remits to platform
* Stored in `bridge_transfers.developer_fee_usd`\\

## Gas Fee (Platform Cost, Not Revenue)

\~0.005 SOL sent automatically from the system wallet to each funded cheque.

* Platform cost, not charged to merchant, not tracked in `fee_ledger`
